All About T-Bars

Shoemaker T-Bars are high quality supply and return air grilles that are aesthetically pleasing and easy to install. There are many options to choose from as the T-Bars are available in lattice, bar style, perforated, curved blade and modular core. Shoemaker T-Bars are available in different panel sizes and, depending on the model, are manufactured with the face style being the whole T-Bar panel or as a smaller grille or diffuser in a blank T-Bar panel (700-___). Shoemaker Mfg. also manufactures T-Bar filter grilles with 1", 2", or 4" filter depth. T-Bars come in a variety of finishes.

The air can be directed in a 1, 2, 3, or 4 way direction.
A variety of panel sizes are available on most models.

Q: I have a competitor’s T-Bar that I am trying to match. How can I find out what the Shoemaker Mfg. equivalent is?

A: Use our handy Cross Reference.

Q: I need a fire-rated T-bar. Does Shoemaker offer these?

A: Shoemaker does offer a selection of fire rated T-Bars. Please check out these Fire Rated T-Bars.

Q: Are T-Bars only available in a 2x2 panel size?

A: Shoemaker T-Bar panel sizes are available as 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, and 2x4. Some sizes may not be available depending on the model. Please review the submittal for your preferred T-Bar to see what panel sizes are available.

Q: I have a t-rail that is smaller than standard. Do you have a product that would fit this small t-rail?

A: Shoemaker offers a narrow grid dimple as an option for a smaller t-rail. The narrow grid dimple is for 9/16" t-rails and changes the outside dimension of the tbar from 23 3/4" to 23 29/32".

Q: I ordered T-Bars for a project but the ceiling switched to surfact mount. Is there a way to make the T-Bars mount in a surface mount ceiling?

A: Use our SMTB to mount your T-Bar in a surface mount ceiling.

Q: I am only finding T-Bars in white. Does Shoemaker offer different colors?

A: Shoemaker offers our standard Soft White and Driftwood Tan as well as a variety of designer colors. Check out our Designer Color page to view the available colors.
